Chapter Eternal - James Noll '87
We have been honored to call this man our Brother. The condolences of Theta Chi’s extended worldwide family are offered to the family and friends of our deceased brother.
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of:
James E. Noll - June 4, 2023
The family of James Edward (Jim) Noll, 59, of Alpharetta, GA, is sad to announce that Jim passed away on June 4, 2023.
Jim was born on March 6, 1964 to Doris and William Noll in Silver Spring, MD. After Jim graduated in 1982 from Salisbury High School in Allentown, PA, he studied business and graduated from Penn State University in 1987 and was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.
In 1994, Jim met Christy Treece at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. Jim and Christy moved to Atlanta in 1999 shortly after they wed. They welcomed two sons to their family, James Christopher and Brendan Chance, and built a wonderful life together in the south.
Jim’s natural ability to connect with people provided the foundation for his business career. He began in cash management at Wachovia in Atlanta and Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. In his thirties and forties, he worked in software sales for several technology companies including Hewlett Packard and IBM. Since 2017, Jim has been tirelessly building the company he founded, iTrust Home Services, an electrical and home automation contracting business. He was a technical guru, and with iTrust he made his hobby his career. He was dedicated to his employees and client satisfaction.
Jim was most passionate in his love for his wife and sons. Over his lifetime, he shared with his family his favorite hobbies, and the four of them were always on the go. He was an active outdoorsman and passed on his enthusiasm and knowledge for boating, fishing, riding ATVs, and skiing to his sons. Jim was also an avid woodworker and he found great joy and fulfillment from working with his hands. Jim was always thinking of other people ahead of himself, and he was generous with his time, attention, and advice. His spirituality was important to him and the Men’s Bible study group with North Point Community Church was a big source of inspiration.
Jim is survived by his wife Christy, his sons James and Brendan, and his brothers William, Robert and Richard. He is predeceased by his parents, Doris and William Noll.
The Noll family will be holding a service at Mount Pisgah Church on Saturday, June 17th at 1pm. The address of the church is 2850 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022. An open house will follow at the Noll residence.
Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Decoding Dyslexia GA or Mount Pisgah Christian School.
