Support THON 2017 - Theta Chi and Their Four Families
Dear Alumnus of the Omega Chapter of Theta Chi,
My name is Jordan Reed and I am the THON chair for Theta Chi for THON 2017. THON is just about a month away, and our brotherhood and partner organization, Tapestry, are excited to support THON and our Four Diamonds Families.
Since Theta Chi and Tapestry paired together 2 years ago, we now have 4 amazing THON families (the Bobby's, the Fait's, the Feliciano's, and the Sicard's) who we are constantly providing support for. While thankfully all of the children are now off treatment, we still have the incredible opportunity to act as mentors and help them as they grow up and overcome the challenges cancer posed for them. Below you can read short updates about our fraternity's families.
For those who don't know, THON is a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. The mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness and ensure funding for critical research ― all in pursuit of a cure.

Bobby Family:
Many of the recent alumni have gotten to be very close with AJ Bobby and were instrumental in providing him support as he battled his cancer. We are happy to say that AJ is currently doing amazing and loving life! We are in constant contact with AJ, as well as his mom Amanda, and his twin sisters, Annabelle and Alexis. Over the past year we’ve visited them numerous times for soccer games and they really are a family full of stars! It’s amazing to see how much they have grown and matured over the past few years and we can’t wait to continue this journey with them in the future!
Fait Family:
The Fait family is Theta Chi’s most recent Family pairing which happened just before THON 2015. Little Leah is a constant ball of energy and an absolute sweetheart. Some of our best THON memories with Leah were last year during THON with her jumping through the stands, “marrying” people, and using about a million stickers on brother’s faces. Her limitless energy is the reason we THON.
Liz Gordon (Sicard) Family:
The Liz Sicard family is a perfect example of just how diverse the THON community is. Liz was diagnosed with cancer at age 21, all while raising her 2 year old daughter as well. As of now, Liz is cancer free and about to have another child in January 2017! While it is very difficult for Liz to come up for THON since her move to Georgia a couple years ago, we still stay very involved in her life. Tapestry often has Skype dates with her and makes sure to keep her up to date with everything we are doing as well! She is the perfect example of someone who has battled through so much but came out smiling on the other end.
Jada Feliciano Family:
The Feliciano family has been paired with Tapestry since 2006, so they have really been able to see how the family has grown and changed over the past 10 years. Though there have been a variety of family issues that have occurred, THON has always stood as a way to bring everyone together. We have been blessed to see Jada and her little sister Jailynn grow up and thrive since Jada’s diagnosis and can’t wait to see where they go in the future!
