Make-A-Wish gets $9,300 in donations

More children with life-threatening illnesses will have their wishes fulfilled because of the efforts of two Penn State fraternities that donated a combined $9,300 to the Make-A-Wish Foun-dation.

Sigma Alpha Mu donated S6,800 it raised in April during the annual Trampoline-A-Thon. The donation brought the fraternity's three-year total to 513,800, which has fulfilled over four wishes for area children This year's contribution was the largest Make-A-Wish has received.

Theta Chi donated $2,500, which it raised in October from an annual soccer tournament. bringing its two-year total to $5,900. Mike Schwartz, a Theta Chi brother, said fraternity members hope next year's donation will he even more.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses. The fraternity donations were announced Monday.
