News of Theta Chi’s Official Family

Dr. Albert F. Buffington, Bucknell, faculty adviser for Omega Chapter at Penn State, is a professor of German and recently stated that 300,000 persons speak the Pennsylvania German language, an amazing phenomenon in an English speaking nation. He says that Pennsylvania German is not only a spoken dialect, but also written. and in the past 85 years has become increasingly prominent in literary fields.

Theta Chis Still in the Service

Several graduates of Omega Chapter have re-entered the armed forces; these include: Jack Williams, a second lieutenant in the transport command: Philip Gran, a second lieutenant in the Marine Corp, and Whiz White in naval aviation. Another alumnus, Frank Kendelle, has been work-ing for the United States Army in Puerto Rico, where he is living with his wife and daughter.
