Repairs on Going in Basement

Since this past summer and fall, the basement area has continued to change. With the addition of the new french doors to the outside the house and to the bar room, certain other areas also needed to be fixed/upgraded.

The bar room floor tiles were chipped, cracked and coming up. Also, it was discovered that those tiles contained asbestos. The tiles were professionally removed and disposed. The alumni association is currently discussing with what type of tile/flooring to replace it with. Hopefully that work will be completed soon, if not over the summer.

Also in the kitchen, there were areas of damaged from normal wear and tear, water damage and who knows what else. Alumnus Jeff Damcott fixed and re-grouted some loose/broken tiles in the kitchen and totally replaced the tiles in the entryway between the kitchen and dining room.
