Two Omega Brothers selected as Captains for THON
Two Theta Chi brothers were chosen as captains for the largest student run philanthropy in the world, THON. THON raised 10.6 million dollars for the Four Diamond Fund last year, 44 thousand of which came from the brothers of Theta Chi. Brother Mark Moseley was chosen as a Finance captain and Brother John Boston was chosen as a Family Relations captain.
Mark is a gift entry finance captain. He is responsible for entering checks received from donors and counting the money that was raised after a canning weekend. In addition, he is in charge of a committee of 30 people. Along with his co-captain, Mark will run weekly meetings, supervise check entering, and lead team building activities. During THON, Mark and his committee will be in charge of counting and entering all donations until the donation window closes at midnight on Saturday night.
John is the Greek Organization Liaison Family Relations Captain. He is responsible for pairing families with a Greek Organization. He, along with his co-captain will be the primary contact for the Greek Organizations and will track their efforts and activities with their paired families throughout the year. In addition, he will recognize organizations with outstanding efforts and those who are lack luster and use this information to help make the AAF (Adopt a Family) reference Guide for next year.
