Chapter Raises $2000 during 2010 K.I.C.K.S. Tournament

Theta Chi and Alpha Xi Delta's soccer tournament, Kids In Cooperation with Karing Students (K.I.C.K.S.), was held on October 3. Twenty-four teams turned out for the event on the gorgeous fall day to play soccer, eat Cici’s pizza and Jimmy John’s subs, as well as listen to the music played by DJ JD (Jason Downey).  The first twenty teams to sign up for the event received K.I.C.K.S. tee shirts.

The fraternity team Delta Tau Delta won the men’s bracket, while team McKean won the co-ed bracket.   The event was sponsored by Rinaldo’s Barbershop, Cici’s Pizza, and Jimmy John’s Sub Shop.  The nearly $2000 dollars in proceeds was given to Autism Speaks, a philanthropy whose main goal is to spread awareness of autism and award grant money for Autism Research.  The winners received gift baskets containing candy, $5 gift cards to Best Buy, free buffet passes to Cici’s pizza, as well as a free one free haircut at Rinaldo’s.

Fraternally,
