Winners in Snow Contest - CDT Story
Announced Winners of Alpha Phi ( Omega's weekend snow sculpture contest were announced last night.
Columbia House in East Halls won in the independent division with its entry, "A Legend Come True." Fraternity winner was Tau Phi Delta whose entry was called "Happiness Is a Smiling Grindl." Alpha Xi Delta won in the sorority division. The sorority cooperated with Theta Chi in building a snowman entitled, "Under the Term System."
Other prizes in the inde-pendent division were Chester House in Pollock Halls, second, "College Transition"; Schuylkill-Philadelphia Houses in North Halls, third, "Shapeless in the Hands of Fate”; Birch House of West Halls, fourth, "A Visit from' Outer Space".
Phi Gamma Delta placed second among fraternities with "Fiji." Alpha Chi Omega was second in the sorority di-vision with "Why Do Elephants?"
Judges were Var Chomicky, associate professor of art education and Richard Kummer, assistant professor of architecture. Trophies and prizes will be awarded next Monday in the Hetzel Union ballroom.
