Inside this edition:

Chapman Steps in for Ladue

After seven years of full-time work for the fraternity, including the strain of the war years, Fred Ladue became ill. He took a leave of absence as executive secretary in October 1947 and resigned in January 1948. At this time George W. Chapman, who had been substituting for Ladue on a part-time basis, was appointed to the position. Chapman had helped to develop Theta Chi for many years and had continued his notable contributions, mentioned on earlier pages, by designing the Outstanding Active Award, Alumni Award, and Appreciation Award, and by compiling the Manual, published in 1947.

The 1954-56 Grand Chapter pauses for a picture at one of its meetings. Clockwise around table, National Chaplain Fred J. HoII, Executive Secretary George W. Chapman, National Vice President Spencer Shank, National President Earl D. Rhodes, National Secretary Joseph D. Ross, Jr., National Treasurer Ralph H. Griesemer, National Marshal Charles F. S.
